Mohammad Sakib Hossain serves as a data and analytics intern for the XPRIZE Canada Hub, supporting the Partnerships and Impact team.
He is a Master’s candidate in Computer Science at the University of Calgary, where he also works as a Graduate Research Assistant at the VISAGG Lab, contributing to research at the intersection of artificial intelligence and data visualization. In addition, he serves as a Graduate Teaching Assistant for several undergraduate courses in computer science and software engineering.
His work in machine learning and deep learning includes building models for Bangla sentiment analysis, handwritten digit recognition, and medical image classification, with multiple peer-reviewed publications. He also has experience developing interactive dashboards and data analytics solutions using Power BI, DAX, and Excel, applied to sales, inventory, student performance, and HR analytics.
He holds leadership roles as VP Finance for both the Computer Science Graduate Society and the Bangladesh Students Association at the University of Calgary, where he manages budgeting and financial operations. He regularly volunteers at university convocations, orientations, and student initiatives.
He is committed to applying data-driven and AI-based approaches to solve meaningful problems in a collaborative, professional setting.
